Privacy policy

This explains what Pixel Quarry, run by Pixel Quarry, collects about you and why. The short version: we keep as little as we can, we do not sell it, and there are no ads or trackers on this site.
What we collect
- Your email address and password, when you make an account. Passwords are stored scrambled (hashed) and we cannot read them.
- Your plan: which one you are on, whether it is active, and when it renews.
- Payment details are collected and stored by Stripe, who process our payments. We never see your full card number.
- The games page: if you publish a game, set up a profile, rate or comment, we store the game, its details and pictures, your profile name, handle and bio, your ratings and your comments. Your profile, games and comments are public. Your star ratings count toward a game's average but are not shown with your name. If you report something, the report is only seen by us.
- Play counts: when someone presses Play we add one to that game's count. We do not record who played.
- Cloud saves, only if you choose to save a project to the cloud on a paid plan. We store the project file so you can open it on other devices, and nothing else is done with it. Delete a cloud save and it is gone from our storage.
What we do not collect
Unless you use cloud saves or publish a game, your projects stay on your device and are never uploaded. If you link GitHub inside the editor, that connection goes straight from your browser to GitHub.
Who helps us run the site
- Supabase stores accounts and plan details.
- Stripe handles checkout, cards, billing and invoices.
- Cloudflare hosts the website and stores cloud saves and published games.
Each of them only gets what they need to do their part.
Cookies
We use a small number of cookies and browser storage to keep you signed in and to know which plan you are on. That is all. There are no advertising or tracking cookies.
Emails
We email you about your account, such as confirming your address, resetting your password and receipts. We will only send news or offers if you have said yes to them.
Your choices
You can ask to see, fix or delete the information we hold about you at any time. Email [email protected]. Deleting your account also deletes your cloud saves, published games, profile and comments. Projects on your device stay where they are.
Changes
If this policy changes we will update the date at the top, and email you if the change is important.
